A few notes:

• I disabled comments. I feel that most of the meaningful conversations have moved to Twitter and that comments have become more of a nuisance than anything else. I’m sure there will be those that disagree with me. Feel free.
• It’s responsive! This time around I took the time to responsive-ize everything and I’m so glad I did. Not only was it a ton of fun, but everything looks just great on my iPhone. Resize your browser and check it out.
• I switched hosts. During this process, I moved all my websites from my old host (1&1) to Eleven2. I couldn’t be happier. Their prices are great and their support is even better. They even sent me a cool t-shirt.

What I’m suggesting is a single lineup with a 7″, 11″, 13″, 15″ and 17″. The 7″ (iPad) being just as powerful as the 11″ (MacBook), sans-keyboard, and the remaining sizes having just as much power as the current Pros, but with an Air body. The Air and Pro names will be dropped perhaps keeping only the iPad and MacBook names as reference for the different tablet and notebook form factors.

I like David’s idea. Kill the Pro and Air branding and just call it the MacBook. And I think Apple, whether they stick with their current naming convention or not, is heading in this direction from a hardware standpoint already. I guess only time will tell.

In a few months, you’ll get the Gmail experience you deserve on your iPhone. Sparrow to the rescue!

Google has long neglected Reader as a product. Reader was fortunate to have a passionate team that was trying to do the right thing for their users by continuing to innovate and build on the experience, but it’s not hard to tell from the official blog that core updates died down a long time ago.

But killing off functionality that could have easily been built on top of G+, and missing the mark by so much on the UI… and then releasing them under the guise of improvements?

I can’t help but agree with Brian. I’ve been using Google Reader for quite some time now and it always seemed thrown together and half-baked. That’s why I was so excited about the redesign I knew was impending. But it’s terrible — ugly, proportionately unbalanced, and sports an altogether terrible user experience. And that’s coming from a guy who loved Google’s refresh.

In other news: Reeder.

First impressions: could be better, but already better than Mail. Although, in my opinion, that’s not saying much. Here’s to Sparrow for iOS.

According to Shawn Blanc, it’s the $5 app that justifies a $500 iPad. Looking at it, I can’t help but agree.
